Sunday, June 18 Bring Dad to this Australian bistro on Father’s Day, and he’ll get a flask full of the restaurant’s Draft Old Fashioned, created and bottled by owner Tim Harris, to take home. The cocktail’s made with High West Double Rye whiskey, agave, and old-fashioned bitters. Brunch and dinner options include meat-heavy dishes like the Swagman’s Breakfast with eggs, hanger steak, pork belly, roasted mushrooms, and potatoes; and the Foie Gras Torchon with scallop, honey, and kiwi berries. Rosé and Rooftops 

Monday, June 19 Careers through Culinary Arts Program (C-CAP), the nonprofit that helps disadvantaged youth develop careers in the hospitality industry, is hosting a rosé happy hour to raise funds for its programs. C-CAP alums from restaurants around the city, including The Writing Room, The Ritz Carlton Central Park South, and Cut by Wolfgang Puck, will prepare bites. Wölffer Estate Vineyard rosés will be poured. 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. $65 per person. City Harvest’s Summer in the City

Wednesday, June 21 To raise money for City Harvest, top chefs and mixologists are throwing a party filled with savory and sweet plates, paired with inventive cocktails. Participating restaurants include Atoboy, High Street on Hudson, Butter Restaurant, Butcher Bar, and Melt Bakery. Bar Goto and Employees Only will be mixing drinks. 7:30 p.m. $175 to $500 per person. Through Monday, June 26 Vic’s chef Hillary Sterling is collaborating with her favorite pizza restaurants in the city to serve special edition pizzas: with Brooklyn’s legendary Di Fara Pizza, a round pie with San Marzano tomatoes, whole milk mozzarella, Parmesan, and basil (through June 12); with Paulie Gee’s, a Monte Cristo pizza with Gouda, Canadian bacon, and maple syrup (June 13 to 19); and with Margot’s Pizza, a ranchero pizza with extra cheese, pickled jalapeños, and buttermilk ranch dressing (June 20 to 26). Wednesday, June 14–Friday, June 30 ‘Tis the season for prized nieuwe maatjes herring from the North Sea near The Netherlands. The herring will be served at Grand Central Oyster Bar, either as a herring salad or as filets served with a hard-boiled egg, sweet onions, and chives. Through Monday, Sept. 4 Chefs Lee Hanson and Riad Nasr, both previously of Balthazar and Minetta Tavern, are hosting a pop-up surf-and-turf concept, The Club Car, at The McKittrick Hotel, delivering chophouse classics with a New Orleans flair. Dishes include boneless ribeye, accompanied by a choice of broiled lobster, soft shell crab with ramp butter, scallops romesco, or razor clams oreganato; and lemon cake and chocolate caramel tart for dessert. Through Friday, Sept. 29 Brooklyn Danish restaurant Bornholm will open a beer garden for the summer. A selection of beers will be available, including several Danish favorites.
