Prom is a special night for many young people–though for one teen girl, it was downright miraculous.

Like most high school seniors around this time of year, Morgan, from San Antonio, Texas, was ready for prom, all set with a dress and a date.

But unlike most students, Morgan wouldn’t be hitting the dance floor with her peers:

She was unable to walk.

According to the Daily Mail, Morgan underwent a surgery 10 months ago that left her with conversion disorder, a condition associated with unexplained neurological problems.

She lost the ability to walk on her own, and for nearly a year had been relying on a wheelchair and crutches.

However, through hard work and physical therapy, Morgan’s condition gradually improved.

Still, no one expected Morgan would be walking again by prom night. So when her date arrived at the house to pick her up April 28, he must’ve figured she would be in her wheelchair.

Instead, she had a surprise for him …

She was walking on her own!

“After not being able to walk with my own two legs for 10 months… i surprised my prom date with this,” Morgan wrote, posting the inspiring video to Twitter.

“How did you do that?!” her amazed prom date exclaimed.

Morgan called her date “one of [her] best supporters,” so the young man knew what a huge breakthrough this was.

The video has become a viral hit, inspiring others in Morgan’s shoes.

The video currently has nearly 13 million views and over 1 million likes on Twitter. But more importantly, it’s offering hope to people who are suffering from their own difficulty walking.

She thanked her friends for their support:

And in another video, it seems Morgan was even named prom queen:

Prom is a night to create memories that last a lifetime, and Morgan’s will always be extra special as the night she advanced greatly in her recovery.

Not only that—she gave her friends an unforgettable surprise.
