Disney’s classic take on Shakespeare’s “Hamlet,” better known to the world as “The Lion King,” has entranced audiences over the years. For many, the most iconic scene is either the one where Mufasa dies or when baby Simba is presented to the animals of Africa while an Elton John song plays in the background.

When Andy Camera got a new puppy named Charlie, he decided to use the iconic scene to announce to the world the new addition to his family. “I wanted a grandiose and stupidly over-the-top way to announce Charlie to the world, so the intro to ‘The Lion King’ sprung into my head!” Camera told The Dodo.

As can be seen, the video was created with the help of a green screen. Charlie was more than happy to play along and star in the video, but Camera waited until he fell asleep to actually finish the technical aspects of the film.

After posting the video on Instagram, Charlie garnered thousands of views. As Camera himself put it, “My puppy is way more popular than me.” Charlie even managed to appear on television, but, being a puppy, does not let that change who he is!
