The children who dance at Kiddie Kapers & Company Dance Program may have been billed as the stars of their December 9 winter recital, but a video that’s well on its way to becoming the next viral hit shows otherwise with 55,000 views in a week.

While his 2-year-old daughter danced onstage in front of an audience of friends and family, Acers Gill was right by her side.

“The real belle of the ball.”

The real bell of the ball. Rock on Dancer Dad.

As Gill’s 2-year-old daughter Willow was onstage with her classmates dancing, he performed her program’s choreography to “Do You Want To Build A Snowman?” in the wings of the stage. A member of the audience captured the sweet moment on camera.

Throughout the dance Willow looked over her shoulder to watch her dad and then copied his moves.

He first sat down at the back of the audience, but soon got up and moved closer to the stage, much closer.

Although many who have left comments on the video praised Gill for dancing alongside his daughter, he told LEX 18 it’s what he does.

“For me, this is just my daily duty,” he said.

Gill knew the entire routine.

He has attended every one of her practices and every recital, and we’re guessing every dance class because he knows the whole routine!

And that’s the kind of support he hopes others will consider giving their children after seeing his video.

“I look at it this way, if I have nothing, I can still show up. period. It costs nothing to show up and support your kids,” he said.
