Grandpa Overwhelmed by Beautiful Surprise Restoration
A touching video shows a man surprising his grandfather with a restored car originally made in the 1950s.
Cameron Dedman began restoring his grandpa’s classic car without his knowledge.
The 1957 Chevy Bel Air had been out of commission for the past 30 years, reported WLTX.
It took Dedman an entire year to secretly fix up the vehicle, according to ABC6.
His grandfather had driven the car every single day for decades before it broke down.
Family members from all over the country flew in for the big reveal.
Grandpa’s emotional response, captured on video that can be seen above, was everything he had hoped for.
The grandson and grandfather now plan to take the classic car to various car shows this year.
People commenting on Facebook were pleased with the surprise, and the effort Dedman put into making his grandfather happy.
“That is a man who so loved his grandson, his grandson worked on gifting him back his car. He must have heard so many fond stories about that car from his grandfather. Love this story,” said Vivienne Vera.
“There is obviously a bond that will never be broken between these two. Awesome job on the car and a beautiful story,” added Ellen Chambers Rulon.
“Awesome! How special for both of them,” added Brenda Wolters.
