Have you ever gotten an uncontrollable urge to dance whenever you hear a good song? It doesn’t matter where you are, whenever you hear that tune, your body just starts moving to the beat.
While out on patrol in Austin, Minnesota, Sgt. Kim Lenz spotted an elderly woman dancing by herself, and rather than smile at the woman as she drove by, Lenz decided to stop.
The elderly woman was moving and grooving without a care in the world.
Lenz has seen the woman, 92-year-old Millie Seiver, dancing in her apartment complex’s parking lot before.
“She brightens my day,” Lenz told InsideEdition.
This was the first time the police officer stopped to dance with Seiver, and the elderly woman looks thrilled that she did. However, Lenz found the incredible response to her everyday action a little “overwhelming.”
Lenz pulled her car up to Seiver and turned up the music in the car.
When Lenz pulled up to the 92-year-old she noticed she had earbuds in so, Lenz put the same music on in her car that Seiver was listening to and the two shared a dance.
“I just cranked it up and started dancing,” Lenz said.
Seiver often goes out for a walk and when she gets tired she dances.
A few days after their now viral dance, Lenz visited Seiver at her apartment to tell her the dash cam footage of the two had been posted online and everyone loved it.
“I said, ‘You brightened my day and now you’re brightening the whole world’s day, one view at a time.'”
