Usually when you see a before and after photo of someone’s fitness journey, the “after” photo is typically a slimmer or more fit version. But not for Tatiana. Her “after” photo celebrates a 35 pound weight gain.
Once “depressed, BARELY EATING, and extremely insecure,” the young woman writes in a post on Instagram that she couldn’t be any prouder of her accomplishment.
“Throughout this journey I have gained my self confidence back and overcome my depression.”
Same shorts. Different body. 120 to 155 in 3.5 months 😭 and I couldn't be any happier ❤. Throughout this journey I have gained my self confidence back and overcome my depression 💕 for anyone new to my page who doesn't know what happened, I lost myself last year. I was going through too many emotionally draining things at once and eventually I hit my breaking point and gave up on myself. I stopped caring about myself, everyone else around me, my education..everything. instead I would just go days without eating and isolate myself in my room all day. Then around January when I had to hop on the scale for P.E I saw that I was 118 lbs. When I was originally 135. At that point I decided to get my shit together and gain back twice the amount of weight that I lost. It wasn't easy at first…it took a lot of discipline and CONSISTENCY. If I was 100% consistent then I could've gained the weight in 2 months instead of 3.5. But through this journey I have also fallen in love with weight lifting and fitness in general. I want to become a fitness model and help as many people as I can accomplish their goals ❤ • • For the last week or so I've been working on a website where I will post free fitness guides/tips. The link is in my bio and the first post on there is 'How to gain weight//How I went from 120lbs to 155lbs-Guide" with a sample meal plan of what I ate, best foods to eat, information on Apetamin, how much to eat in one day, best workout routine/best leg/booty exercises, and how to keep your stomach small! (P.s it was my first time making a website so it might look wack lmao) 💕💕💕
Tatiana explained how she arrived at her breaking point, “I was going through too many emotionally draining things at once and eventually I hit my breaking point and gave up on myself. I stopped caring about myself, everyone else around me, my education..everything.”
She continued on her website by saying that she was depressed for several months and due to the depression she would often hide in her room. Since she would spend hours in isolation she rarely ate and it wasn’t until she was in P.E. and got on a scale that she realized how much weight she lost.
She had gone from weighing around 135 to 130 to 118 pounds.
“And that’s when I decided to get my life together and gain back the weight that I lost.”
Same outfit. Different body. 3.5 months. Couldn't be anymore proud of myself 🙂💪💜 • On the left I was depressed, BARELY EATING, and extremely insecure. I was losing alot of weight and made the choice to go on a weight gain journey. I was 5'9 And 120 lbs . I was considered underweight for my height. And it wasnt easy. I have an extremely fast metabolism which makes it hard for me to put on weight easily. I couldnt care less if you think I shouldn't have gained weight because guess what? It's my body and the only thing that matters now is that I'm happy. 🙂 and I was definitely working out on a consistent basis so alot of the weight I gained was muscle. 💕 • • I made a post about it on a website I created if you wanna know how I went from 120lbs to 155lbs fast with a sample meal plan of what I ate, best foods to eat, how much to eat in one day, best workout routine/best leg/booty exercises, and how to keep your stomach small! Link in my bio 💕 (P.s it was my first time making a website so it might look wack lmao)
Tatiana admits that despite what many people think, it wasn’t easy to gain back all of the weight she lost and more. She credits “watching 5487474548574 YouTube videos and spending thousands of hours on the computer doing research” as well as discipline and consistency with helping her to achieve her goals.
And now she’s writing about her fitness journey on her website. Tatiana writes that through her fitness journey she learned to love fitness and weight lifting and one day she wishes to become a fitness model and inspire others who might be going through a similar experience.
Although Tatiana’s before and after photos stray from the norm, the message is very similar, no matter if it’s a weight gain or loss, how you feel about your body matters to only one person, you.
