For some little girls, their first father-daughter dance at school is a big deal.
They may wear a fancy new dress, get their hair done, or put on sparkly shoes to celebrate the occasion. For two little kindergarteners, who were set to attend their first father-daughter dance, their father wanted it to be extra special.
Many little girls love going to their school’s father-daughter dance.
In a post, she shared with Love What Matters, Danielle I. Drzymala Rogers explained how her twins, who at the time were in kindergarten were excited to attend their first “sweetheart dance” with their father.
In preparation for their first dance, Rogers’ husband went to the store and purchased two pink corsages for their girls.
“We just knew they would be tickled by this,” she wrote.
Rogers’ daughters couldn’t wait and were excited to receive the corsages their father bought.
As the three of them were nearly out the door, Rogers’ husband took the bag he got from the store and took out the corsages, but he noticed there was something else inside.
There was also a note and a matching boutonnière.
The florist snuck a matching boutonnière into his order.
The note read, “To Prince Charming, Every little girl needs to have one and it’s usually her dad. So you order one for the girl’s and didn’t order one for yourself. This one for you from me.”
Rogers and her family were surprised and grateful for the florist who unknowingly made their night special.
“It was such an unexpected, sweet, kind gesture that made the night even more special for my girls. And unforgettable for my husband and I.”
