Police are hunting for a gunman who was seen shooting at an alleged New York City mobster on Wednesday, which was captured on video.
Officials released the footage, showing the shooter fire at Salvatore Zottola, 41, who has alleged ties to the Bonanno crime family, NBC New York reported. The incident unfolded at 6:30 a.m. in the Bronx.
“Black male for assault/shooting a 41-year-old male multiple times near Tierney Place/Locust Point Drive #Bronx at 6:30am on July 11. The suspect fled in a red four door sedan,” the NYPD wrote.

The footage, released on social media by the NYPD, shows Zottola rolling in the street to get away from the gunman, who is wearing a mask. The gunman then runs after him and opens fire as he’s rolling.
