If your summer vacation plans entail heading into the woods with camping equipment in tow, there’s no need to put eating well on hold. Coleman, the outdoor gear company, has recently released “The Outdoor Adventure Cookbook: The Official Cookbook From The Ultimate Camping Authority” (Oxmoor House, $22.99).

The cookbook offers 100 recipes, some—such as Sriracha Jerky—that are meant to be prepared ahead of time and some that make use of the campfire, such as Southwest Chilaquiles Skillet Breakfast, prepared in a cast iron skillet.

The book also provides tips for meal prep, packing, and campsite safety—including how to deal with potentially pesky woodland critters.
