Love has no boundaries… well, kind of.

Chances are you know the song and the scene from the 1987 blockbuster movie, “Dirty Dancing.” It was an iconic on-screen moment that made Patrick Swayze and Jennifer Grey famous, and a favorite of Sharon Price, 52, and her fiancé, Andy Price, 51.

The couple from England had watched the movie over 30 times.

The couple from England had watched the movie over 30 times and wanted to recreate the move at their wedding dance.

Remember that move? Jennifer Grey leaps into Patrick Swayze’s arms, lifting and spinning her in a beautiful moment reflecting the song they were dancing to, “I’ve Had The Time Of My Life” by Bill Medley and Jennifer Warnes.

Oh, how effortless the talented actors had made it seem on the big screen!

Sharon leaped toward Andy…

Of course, this would require some practice by Sharon and Andy. After all, they were a little older than Swayze and Grey were in the movie and had no formal training in dance that we know of.

In their first attempt to practice, they did not have ‘the time of their life.’

Instead, Sharon leaped toward Andy, but only caught enough air to bang heads with her husband-to-be. The Hollywood moment quickly passed and both crashed to the ground.

“We were about 30 feet apart and Sharon ran and I grabbed her hips and the next thing we knew we were flat out,” Andy shared with BBC. “I was concussed. I was out. I ended up in a neck brace and had to have a CT scan.”

Thankfully, their funny bones were left completely intact…

Both were knocked completely unconscious and rushed to a nearby hospital. Each had suffered back and neck injuries and Andy also had a concussion.

Six hours later, they were fully recovered (minus a bit of a bruised ego) and discharged from the hospital. Thankfully, their funny bones were left completely intact and the couple took it all in good stride.

“I don’t think we’ll have that one at the wedding…”

Asked if they were still planning to use that move at their upcoming wedding reception, Sharon said, “I don’t think we’ll have that one at the wedding, I think we’ll go for a traditional slow one and I’ll let Andy choose.”

The Epoch Times would like to wish Sharon and Andy a big congratulations after a little chuckle at their expense. Obviously young at heart with a dash of risk-taking in their blood, we recommend you keep the ambulance on standby, just in case.
