This heartwarming clip of baby Reagan seeing his dad clearly for the first time is just so incredibly adorable.

Air Force Capt. Brandon Caldwell had just come home having been deployed to Antarctica for two months.

Picking up Reagan, he starts singing “pat-a-cake, pat-a-cake, baker’s man,” as the baby clapped along.

“This was the first time he got to SEE his daddy through glasses! It’s obvious in this video he loves his daddy,” wrote Amanda Caldwell, Reagan’s mother.

She has been documenting Reagan’s journey, as he has had a hard time. At just a few weeks old, he suffered meningitis and became septic. He had to spend a lot of time in the intensive care unit.

Since then, he has been progressing steadily undergoing regular physical and speech therapy sessions.

“He tolerates his glasses well but does not enjoy patching. His eyes are improving but we will likely do the surgery to straighten them before too long,” Amanda wrote.

“He’s got a hysterical little personality and thinks we are funny too. He’s also very ticklish and giggles when you tickle his feet and ribs.”
