President Trump’s First State of the Union Address
President Donald Trump on Jan. 30 gave his first State of the Union address. In the speech, President Trump underscored the achievements of his administration, including the unemployment rate among African Americans now being at its lowest point in recorded history.
Trump also explained his vision for immigration reform as well as for an infrastructure spending bill worth at least $1.5 trillion dollars. He also sought to unite the country around America’s shared values and underscored the importance of building up America’s military to make sure it can deter foreign aggressors.
