There are many hardworking people out there, and whilst some may struggle to make ends meet, they endeavor to provide for their families. While selling street food, this Filipino man and his wife sent all four of their daughters to college, and the youngest graduated in 2017.

Mr. and Mrs. Versoza earn their living by selling street food and peddling on the streets. They have four daughters, and the proceeds of what they get from their sales is all they have to provide for their needs.

Through their humble work, they have managed to send all their daughters to college, and all of them have now graduated.

Girlie Versoza, the youngest daughter, shared her sentiments via Facebook, which has since gone viral. She remembers being ridiculed by her peers and classmates, who refused to play with her because she was the daughter of an ordinary fishball vendor. According to her classmates, their social status was higher than hers.

In high school, there were classmates who’d bully her and who sometimes even accused her of stealing, just because she was poor. But graduating salutatorian, or second highest, in elementary level positioned her favorably above the bullies.

College was a different story; expenses were far too many, and her parents, especially her father, had to work overtime to support Girlie and her siblings’ education. Girlie has only one thing to say to her parents:

“Thank you, Papa and Mama…I know there were many sacrifices you had to endure..many humiliations you let pass…many days of working under the heat of the sun even if it made you dizzy…tired and sleepy…but you both endured everything just so I and my siblings can finish and graduate college…Thank you very much…I and my sisters love you both very much!”
