This octopus steals clam shells, other sea objects

This type of octopus has a few interesting traits: It gathers shells and coconuts to use as shelter–and it displays bipedal walking.

Sure, it’s a bit creepy, but it’s still interesting nonetheless.

The video shows the veined octopus grabbing a clam shell before it twists its body and uses it as a makeshift protective device.

The octopus is pretty small. It gets to be about 3 inches in length and its arms are about 6 inches long.

They’re found in tropical waters in the Pacific Ocean, eating shrimp, clams, and crab.
