When is the last time you took a break from all the events happening around your life and just decided to take good care of yourself and your family? Sometimes there is just so much happening in our lives, ranging from family life to work. This sometimes makes us forget about ourselves completely. If you are lucky enough, there is always that one person to remind you of how special you are.

This was the case for one mom from Houston, Texas. Brene Brown is a mother of two, a wife, a published author, a motivational speaker, and a University of Houston professor. The busy mom has a lot of things to do on a daily basis which raises the possibility of losing herself to work.

However, on one Saturday morning, a simple kind gesture from a “stranger” made her heart melt with love.

Brown was ready to get into her car after the gym when she spotted a note on the car’s windshield.

Anyone would be curious about a note written on a napkin and left on their car, and so was Brown. She picked the note up and read the words written on it which indicated that she had a secret admirer. The words on the note read “You are really cute” followed by an invitation to a dance.

“What the heck?” was the initial reaction from Brown.

The message felt weird as she didn’t even know who left the note there. At first, she wondered who could be following her to the gym and leaving such flirtatious messages and she looked around but couldn’t find anyone around to ask.

It was when she looked again at the phone number written on the note that her mood instantly changed—and she allowed herself to fall in love with the kind gesture.

It turned out that her husband, Steve, had left the note while she was working out at the gym.

Brown shared the photo on Facebook. She then went on to comment that her husband had taken her to two-stepping as he had written on the note. The post went viral with most people praising her husband for the romantic message and others sharing similar experiences.

It’s the little things that count. And this small gesture depicts the lengths that Brown’s husband is willing to go to keep their marriage healthy.

“Ellen is looking for a prom dress. I offered to lend her the dress I wore to her dad’s prom. She declined. I actually think peach taffeta is making a comeback. #1988” (Facebook/Brené Brown)

These little gestures display the highest levels of love and affection between this married couple. The note left on her car wouldn’t have meant as much had it been written by a stranger, but the fact that it came from her husband made her feel amazing.

With such a busy schedule, it could be hard for her to sit back and rest for a few minutes or enjoy some time with family and loved ones. However, Brown is lucky to have her husband who keeps reminding her to take a deep breath and just enjoy life.
