Tabasco recently released a new hot sauce, the Scorpion Sauce, which is 20 times hotter than the original, according to a press release obtained by Bon Appetit magazine.
The Scorpion Sauce is made with scorpion peppers, guava, pineapple, and a dash of the original hot sauce.
Scorpion peppers are a vicious variety: they register 1,463,700 Scoville heat units on the official measurement system for evaluating spicy heat, which is currently the world’s second hottest chile pepper.
Tabasco’s new sauce was so popular it sold out soon after the company announced its release. But luckily for heat seekers, Tabasco is now making a second batch of the limited-edition sauce, available for preorder on its website for $7.98.
