I ain’t afraid of no ghost.
At least that’s what many of us would like to believe until we encounter a hair-raising situation that leaves us spooked.
Ryan Dalton and his 2-year-old daughter Maya were up early enjoying breakfast when suddenly Maya’s attitude went from happy-go-lucky to weirded out.
Did Maya just see a ghost?
Dalton shared with Buzzfeed that he and his daughter were sitting in their kitchen while she ate a piece of bread with peanut butter. She was acting silly, so he decided to film her.
While Dalton recorded her, Maya made a bunch of noises as she played with her food, but it was one word she said towards the end of the video and her subsequent action that has everyone talking.
Maya played with her food as her dad recorded her.
Towards the end of the video clip, Maya looks over to her left, Dalton explained to Buzzfeed to her left was their sitting room, which at that time of day was dark.
She looks once, then on the second time she says in a concerned voice, “spooky.”
Dalton assures her there’s nothing over there and later tweets that he looked over his shoulder to make sure, but Twitter is not convinced.
He later explained to Buzzfeed that he believes she was referring to the “closed, dark window blinds.”
When she looked towards the sitting room she said, “that’s spooky.”

Despite Dalton’s efforts to explain his daughter’s sudden change in attitude, not to mention the moment she tried to shift away from the potential spirit, few people believed him.
Many suggested he put the family’s house on the market, while others suggested he burn it, though one Twitter user pointed out that burning the house would release the spirits.
The majority know that Maya saw a ghost.
It looked like whatever she saw was funny & vibing with her at first, then did something off the wall, and she was like pic.twitter.com/9dtTJzY1zT

Some users even shared their own similar stories.
My friends brother was putting her nephew to bed one night, and he said to her brother “daddy why is that lady sad” and he asked “what lady” and her nephew goes “the one in the corner”… Creepiest thing ever

“Children’s imaginative worlds are limitless, and don’t contain the same social and physical rules of the adult world,” clinical child psychologist Dr. Erin Bowe shared with EssentialBaby in regards to children seeing ghosts.
That being said, the jury is still out on whether children can see ghosts, so it is a possibility Maya saw something. What do you think?
