“I leave with a very pleasant taste in my mouth, very relaxed,” he shared. “There is an energy that is transmitted from the dancers, all the artists, from the music, the instruments, they generate a tranquility.”
An artist himself, Mr. Morales was most impressed by how complete Shen Yun’s production was.
“The precision that all the dancers have—you can see that there is an artistic discipline,” he said. “I liked the execution of the dancers, the costumes, the effects they have with the digital scenery, and how the performers collaborated with the animation.”
According to its website, Shen Yun’s patented 3D digital technology works together with the performers to “extend the stage to infinite realms” and brings to its audience “storytelling without limits.”
Mr. Morales thought Shen Yun shared “very important values.”
“They’re not just dancing for the sake of dancing, or representing [classical Chinese] dance technique,” he said.
“The dancers, the artists—they interact and show through their movements and expressions the values of spirituality, kindness, responsibility, and discipline.”
As a Buddhist practitioner, Mr. Morales is familiar with traditional Chinese spirituality, and he deeply appreciated this element of the performance.
For him, Shen Yun’s message reminds us that we should: “be good people and [uphold] a kind world.”
“With the little bit that each one of us contributes, we are going to make the world change.”

Also enjoying the performance were company director Carlos Suro and Cintia Franco, a cosmetologist.
“I came with very high expectations for this show, but honestly, it exceeded my expectations,” Mr. Suro exclaimed.
“The show is an impressive thing, full of professionalism. It is something that sincerely exceeds expectations. … Everything they have is wonderful.”
He especially enjoyed how Shen Yun dancers and live orchestra collaborated seamlessly with each other on stage.
They explained that in the Chinese language, ’medicine‘ and ’music’ share the same character but with different pronunciations. In fact, music is considered one of the earliest forms of medicine in the world.
Seamlessly blending the grandeur of a Western orchestra with the ethereal beauty of Chinese melodies, Shen Yun musicians produce a profound emotional range that captures the depth of the human experience.
Seeing the strong similarity between the traditional values conveyed by Shen Yun and his own faith, Mr. Suro believes that everyone “in different parts of the world all have a spirituality. We have the same God.”
“That same God is seen in different ways in each culture, but I believe that at the end of the day God is one and everything is directed towards him,” he said.
“There is a lot of spirituality in the show. They teach us how harmony goes hand in hand with synchrony and goes hand in hand with values.”
“Everything seems, to me, to make sense in the spiritual part, and I believe that everything [in Shen Yun] has to do with the same message of goodness, of being able to be better people, and to be able to have a better world. I think that’s where it all goes,” he stated.
“The truth is that we were very satisfied with the show we just saw, it is 100% recommendable, and many congratulations.”
