“This performance takes us into Chinese culture and Eastern culture, not only helping us understand art and culture, but more importantly, allowing us to experience the spiritual essence and characteristics of Eastern culture,” said Carlos Johnny Méndez, Speaker of the Puerto Rico House of Representatives.
“This performance has made a significant impact in Puerto Rican society, so I recommend it,” Mr. Méndez said.
Shen Yun means “divine beauty in motion.” Regarding this, he said, “This is precisely the beauty of Eastern culture. They combine the divine with the human, and this interaction is something truly worth experiencing and cherishing.”
“While watching one segment earlier, I deeply felt their ability to weave positive messages into art—messages that prompt reflection and contemplation, reminding us to reconnect with nature and return to our inner selves. I believe this is one of the key takeaways I'll carry home tonight,” Mr. Méndez said.
“I’ve had the opportunity to see other performances while traveling to other countries, but this one (Shen Yun) is entirely different. This performance places greater emphasis on the divine, the interaction between the divine and humanity, and how such interaction can bring about transformation—or even destruction.”
Méndez stated, “This performance is truly worth seeing and savoring. If someone asked me for a recommendation, I would unhesitatingly suggest they come to experience it.”
He noted that this marks the third consecutive year Shen Yun Performing Arts has visited Puerto Rico, adding, “This performance has made a significant impact on Puerto Rican society, which is why I recommend it.”
