CHANGHUA, Taiwan—As the head of a local numerology association, Li Chungi is fully aware that divinity plays a guiding role in people’s lives. On April 10, this understanding, amazingly for Ms. Li, manifested itself into spiritual realities and divine presence when Shen Yun Performing Arts graced the stage.

“When those dancers stepped on to the stage, you felt you were welcomed into a heavenly realm. Average dancers wouldn’t be able to do what they did,” said Ms. Li, who was seeing Shen Yun for the second time. Ms. Li was also president of a biotech company and honorary founder of a local Lions Club.

Ms. Li added that the body movements of the dancers spoke to her, making her feel like “she was in heaven,” which was so different from the distant sensation she felt when reading about gods in books. She believed the dancers were able to do that because “divine spirituality has become part of their spirits.”

“I sensed an invisible force coming from the universe, and such power is bestowed upon the dancers, to make them dance the way they did,” she said.

Arrival of the Holy King

The last piece of the program, “Hope for the Future,” told of a persecution taking place in contemporary China. In it, a divine scene unfolds.

“I was stunned to feel the power coming from the radiating, turning wheel,” said Ms. Li.

“My body became warm, and even hot, with the energy coming out from the backdrop,” she said. “At that moment, I felt very comfortable, very serene, and I felt I could let go of everything in life.”

Ms. Li tried to explain how she felt from a different perspective, adding that “For the first time ever, I felt gods are present among the artists right in front of my eyes. I could feel their divine power.”

“Shen Yun is indeed a great name” said a smiling Ms. Li. Shen Yun translates as divine beings dancing, according to the company’s website.

What’s more, Ms. Li said, she walked away from the performance believing in one thing—the arrival of “The Holy King.” According to the program book, the Udumbara flower, which can be seen around the world nowadays, signals the arrival of “The Holy King Who Turns the Wheel,” who would offer people salvation.

“I want to thank Shen Yun for bringing us this kind of performance, and the company will surely have its place in the history books.”

History in the Making

Blown away by everything she had seen, Ms. Li had much to say about the artistic director of the performance.

“I believe he surely will have a place in history, for putting on such a dance performance, and being able to bring out the skill of these dancers,” said a grateful Ms. Li.

More specifically, Ms. Li was amazed how the show had brought to live the 5,000 years of Chinese civilization, which is a glory that has nearly been lost in modern-day China udder communist rule.

“The artistic director must have great skills and profound knowledge, for being able to show such details about the history, and portray the 5,000 years of ancient culture that has slowly become non-existent,” said Ms. Li.

“I thank the artistic director. And I implore that he keep on promoting this traditional culture.”

Divine Message

The messages from the performance had only only echoed in her heart, but made her reflect on issues in contemporary society, said Ms. Li.

“I think the performance is telling people that, if you have a good heart, do what is right, and walk the right path, gods will look after you, and you will live a good life.” she explained.

Ms. Li, however, worried about people nowadays, since “the modern society has changed, and people are driven by utilitarianism, and plot and scheme against one another.”

Fortunately, she added, Shen Yun was here, since its dancers were good role models. She said they “have peace in their hearts, and are not lost in the pursuit of money for fame.”

“Shen Yun is a gift from heaven.”
