It was impressive because it’s the first time I have seen a visual presentation like this–so developed and elaborate, intertwining the imaginary and the real. The dancers have an incredible grace and athleticism. The synchronicity was impressive … especially the way the dance was integrated with the music. That’s something that particularly touched me.
It’s a colourful and emotional performance. It moves us because each piece has its own unique colour, content, and essence. It also reminds us of aspects of our own lives. That’s what touched me–it reminds us of parts of our lives that we’ve experienced before.
[Shen Yun] blends a variety of arts–this is something that speaks to me personally.
