“The colors and the skilled precision of the actresses and actors [strikes me the most]. They’ve done a fabulous job blending modern styles and taken from the classical Chinese, and it’s a nice refreshing event for people to come to. I enjoyed it. I’m looking forward to the second half.”

“I did [get the messages behind the dances.] I don’t know if I’m a little bit biased. I studied Chinese, and I studied martial arts as well, so you get an extra appreciation.”

“I definitely think that [other people] should come. I have some Chinese friends that I would invite. Obviously there are some political things in there, but communism is not good for culture. ... it rejects the idea of natural man, which is something that the west understands.”

“The ancient Chinese, they understood what it meant to be a human being and to understand that nobody is perfect, and government, kings and empeorors, so every culture, every place has a balancing of things, but communism is not very helpful for the history of China.”
