Dancer Says Shen Yun ‘Envelops You With Its Atmosphere’

“I think it’s spot on. Everything is so precise, the technique is outstanding and even the choreography and the production of it, the way they jump out of the screens was really amazing.”

“I would say go see it, come and experience it.”

“You get enveloped by the whole atmosphere and the whole production, you just kind of get scooped in.”

“I’ve danced ballet quite a bit, I taught ballet for a little while—the constant motion, extension things like that are all very fundamental and I saw those in both. Ballet seems to be a little bit more strict in the movement and Chinese [dance], at least what I’m seeing today, is more interpretive and … you can stretch the boundaries.”

“I couldn’t see all of the instruments but if there’s a fusion of some of the more traditional, older, instruments … with that of now, I think in general the fusion of past and present brings a lot of flavour.”
