The ever-evolving virus that causes COVID-19 continues to persist, prompting the need for a natural antiviral solution. A recent study explored the broad-spectrum antiviral activity of willow bark extract, which has been used for its anti-inflammatory, antipyretic, and analgesic properties for thousands of years.

A study conducted by a team of Finnish scientists, published in the journal Frontiers in Microbiology in November, found that willow bark extract is highly effective in deactivating enteroviruses and the coronaviruses SARS-CoV-2 and HCoV-OC43.
