NBA star Kyrie Irving posted a photo of Djokovic’s victory on Instagram with the caption: “Unvaccinated Novak Djokovic won the US Open! He won and we will too!” This has reignited the public debate on whether to receive the updated vaccine.

On Sept. 10, in the final match of the U.S. Open, the 36-year-old tennis player secured his 24th Grand Slam title, establishing himself as the male tennis player with the most Grand Slam titles. NBA star Kyrie Irving congratulated him on Instagram while taking a jab at the previous COVID-19 vaccine mandate. Previously, Djokovic had been barred from entering the United States in 2022 due to his refusal to receive the COVID-19 vaccine, which prevented him from participating in the 2022 tournament.
