VIENNA—Shen Yun Performing Arts opened its first of two shows in Vienna, Austria, on March 10, 2015 at the Wiener Stadthalle, a venue that holds more than 350 events and attracts over 1 million visitors annually.

Shen Yun is the world’s premier classical Chinese dance and music company, having received both critical and audience acclaim for its superior artistry and its mission to revive 5,000 years of culture believed to have been a divine gift bestowed to humanity.

Dr. Georg Kapsch, chairman and surgeon at the Chirurg am Klinikum Klagenfurt, attended the Shen Yun opening show.

He said, “What a fantastic show and artistically one-of-a-kind! I felt that there was such deep meaning in every scene of the show. Most importantly, one could learn from watching this show and change one’s focus on life.”

He continued, “There are so many possibilities, with some of them more hidden than others, for the audience members to think about. All these possibilities address not only personal needs, but also needs that address the environment we live in.”

“One of these possibilities is peace and quietness. This is what Shen Yun has given me.”

Costume Producer, ‘If only I could touch and feel the materials of the costumes’

Ms. Anna Pollack, who produces costumes for movies and theatrical performances, as well as a children’s dressmaker in her own workshop, was deeply touched by the Shen Yun performance.

She said, “If only I could touch and feel the materials of the costumes. The beauty of the costumes is breathtaking. Just looking at these costumes made my heart beat faster.”

“My heart desires the ability to produce clothes of such beauty. These costumes were out of this world.”

“I will take with me the beauty of this show, with much still hidden away in my mind. I find from past experience that I will bring whatever I have seen, but not yet fully absorbed, to light when the need arises.”
