Theatregoer Says Shen Yun Beautifully Expressed Through Dance

“The discipline, the discipline around wonderful grace, in movement and in expression. That’s a beautiful part of the spiritual, the mention of the Chinese in expressing through dance. It’s quite beautiful to see—it’s beautifully arranged. So the discipline is there but it ends up being an expression of grace—very beautiful to watch.”

“I think there’s a lot of truth about it [spirituality]. … Where this discipline, great discipline allows the expression of grace. And so the two aren’t separable, the two come together and then it becomes spiritual because of the body expression, and the music, and the story being told.”

“I think that adds a lot of real meaning to the expression that’s lost for the people today. You’re maintaining that spiritual expression, the history—so it’s very beautiful.”
