WASHINGTON—Company president, real estate and housing developer Chris Bogdan said he was “very impressed” by Shen Yun. He saw Shen Yun perform Jan. 24, at the Kennedy Center Opera House.
Mr. Bogdan is the president and chief financial officer of Bogdan Builders, an award-winning real estate and housing development company.
“Excellent. Totally different than what I expected,” said Mr. Bogdan
According to Shen Yun’s website, the group aims to bring back China’s divinely-inspired cultural heritage. Through classical Chinese dance and music, Shen Yun brings ancient tales from history and literature to life.
“It was perfectly put off, from everything from the Mongols, chopsticks, Mongolian Chopsticks to the difference scenes.”
Whether the imperial court, the mountains of Tibet, or a Yao minority village, a projected animated back drop brings the setting to life. Mr. Bogdan said the coordination between the backdrop and the dancers worked well.
“With the video and the background and the town of people acting out the parts, it just fit together perfectly, it was like nothing I’ve seen before,” said Mr. Bogdan.
“I think it was really well put together,” he said of Shen Yun.
“I am very impressed. I definitely would recommend it to anybody.”
