HOLLYWOOD, Calif.—Shen Yun Performing Arts took audience members at Hollywood’s Dolby Theatre on a journey through ancient China on May 3. Among the audience was Mojgan Raffi, a former dancer from the famous musical Neydavoud family from Iran, who was deeply impressed with Shen Yun’s artistry.

“The music was fantastic, and the combination with the music and the dancers, and the story with animation in the background. So I can say that it was the mix of three arts: The music, dance, colors, and animation,” Mrs. Raffi, who came to the matinee show with her husband and other guests, said.

As a dancer, Mrs. Raffi said she appreciated the hard work and dedication the dancers put in. She was impressed with how the dancers not only synchronized their movements among each other, but with the live orchestra and digital backdrop as well.

Mrs. Raffi resonates deeply with the message, saying it was one of her favorite parts of the performance.

”It was all about spirituality and enlightenment and how the world will improve with peace and love,” she said.

Since 2006, Shen Yun has toured the world with a mission to revive 5,000 years of divinely-inspired traditional Chinese culture and values. These values come to life in Shen Yun’s performances through classical Chinese dance, music, and storytelling.
