Shen Yun’s Stories Are ‘Extravagant,’ Says VP

ATLANTA—Jeff and Cybele Steen always wanted to go see Shen Yun Performing Arts. On Jan. 2, the couple finally had the chance to see the world’s premier classical Chinese dance and music company perform at the Cobb Energy Performing Centre.

“The show is great, it is well done, and I enjoy the talents and the dancing. It is very nice,” said Mr. Steele, who is the vice president of a large global company that manufactures products for data centers.

Beyond the beauty of the performance, the cultural aspect of Shen Yun, which aims to revive China’s ancient culture, also caught Mr. Steele’s attention.

“The history of China and the stories that are told are just extravagant,” said Mr. Steele.

Ms. Steele said she also greatly enjoyed the performance.

“It is beautiful,” she said.

“Just spectacular, very, very beautiful, very elegant.”

The Shen Yun Performing Arts New York Company will continue its performances in Atlanta over the weekend, while Shen Yun’s other three touring companies hold performances in different parts of North America.
