Shen Yun’s Dancers Express Human Interconnectedness

“Each individual dancer, I feel, was expressing their anger or sadness or any kind of feeling that they felt through their dance, and it really came across, and what I go home with is the fact that it’s really important to be able to express yourselves, whether or not [it] is through freedom of words, through freedom of speech, through freedom of writing, you can do it through the arts, and you can do it in your own way, in your own creative way.”

“The dancers were very creative. They’re using their creative talents to express their feelings… and I think that, as human beings, regardless of where we were raised, … we all can relate. I think everyone watching can relate and in some sort of way, whether or not we were raised in China, we can still feel it, so I feel like we’re all interconnected as human beings.”
