Shen Yun Is Spectacular, Professor Says
Professor Joshua Ault (2nd R) and his wife, Amy, with professor John Ault (2nd L) and his wife, enjoyed the Shen Yun performance at the Orpheum Theater in Phoenix, Ariz., on Feb. 22, 2018. "You could just feel the passion through everything that they did. They were using their talent to showcase their commitment to their culture. It was very apparent," Amy Ault said. “It was spectacular.”

“The grandeur of it [was spectacular]. It was very large. It was very colorful. The performers had obviously put in a lot of work.”

“They made the connection, between the ancient and the present. It wasn’t just they covered the history, it was that they drew that string of history and brought it all together.”

“I think there was a message too—another reason why it was important today—because we do get caught up in the modern world, this was a message they were sharing as well.

“We get caught up in the modern world, and being tourists, and taking pictures, and taking selfies, and we need to take that minute to just remember where we truly came from and what our background is, and what really is important.”

“The [performance] appeared effortless, but it was clearly something that was very difficult, and so you could tell that they'd put a lot of time into preparing for it.”
