Shen Yun ‘Is really a spectacle,’ Says Film Director

“The production is excellent, the choreography is exceedingly well done, and the show comes together with the special effects – that’s really cool. I was very impressed. I was very impressed.”

“I thought it was really interesting that it was people from New York trying to reach back into ancient Chinese culture that seems to have been abandoned by the communist Chinese.”

(What do you think of Shen Yun’s effort to revive traditional Chinese culture?) “I think that’s a great idea. It’s great. I think that’s the true character that you’d find in a lot of Chinese people, but it’s too bad that they don’t get to see this.”

“It’s really a show that is worthwhile seeing. It’s so different from anything else you’ll see, whether it’s a Broadway musical or a film. The tickets obviously sold out immediately; we (my wife) weren’t even sitting together, but it’s a great experience for people.”

“It’s very different from anything else you’re going to see in terms of the whole spectacle of it. It is really a spectacle.”
