SALZBURG, Austria—Shen Yun Performing Arts opened in Salzburg, Austria on April 20, 2015 at the Salzburger Festspielhaus. Ms. Diana-Marisa Brachvogel, an actor, dancer and singer, and Mr. Alexander Mikas, owner of an electronics firm, traveled from Munich, because Shen Yun did not visit Munich this year.
“It is a beautiful show and very impressive. One will always leave this show with a positive feeling,” said Ms. Brachvogel.
“Through the universal language of music and dance, Shen Yun weaves a wondrous tapestry of heavenly realms, ancient legends, and modern heroic tales, taking you on a journey through 5,000 years of Chinese culture. Its stunning beauty and tremendous energy leave audiences uplifted and inspired,” stated the Shen Yun website.
“Shen Yun is absolutely unique, not only because of the marvelous performance, but because of everything else associated with the show—the costumes, backdrop, choreography, music and most of all because of the performers’ demeanor,” said Ms. Brachvogel.
“A Shen Yun performance features the world’s foremost classically trained dancers, a unique orchestra blending East and West, and dazzling animated backdrops—together creating one spectacular performance,” said Shen Yun on its website.
“I’m deeply touched because this show tells us that a crisis could most likely be overcome with divine help,” said Ms. Brachvogel.
She thinks that the performance “is awakening the human mind. When that is accomplished, everything can be resolved.”
Mr. Mikas was very impressed with Shen Yun and said, “It is fantastic, a one-of-a-kind artistic performance. However, what caught my eye is the backdrop.”
The “digital backdrop designs complement and synchronize all aspects of the performance: the characters, color of the costumes, specific dance movements, props, lighting, the story being told, particular notes played by the orchestra, and special audio effects,” said Shen Yun on its website.
