Shen Yun ‘a Mixture of Culture and Perfection,’ Former Ballet Principal Dancer Says

May 6, 2018

“I like the dance because I danced and I was like, they are amazing, their precision, their spacing, [and] the form.”

“The spacing on stage was amazing. Each person was the same distance from every other person. … With all the movement and the spinning and things that were happening, it is easy to lose that spacing and they didn’t. It is really good.”

” I love the sleeves [dance]. I didn’t know how they got it back into their hand and with such precision. I was watching to see what the trick was, but I couldn’t find it. So it was really fun.”

“They [dancers] did an amazing job. … A lot of practice and self-discipline, … they were striving to live up to something higher than just this world.”

“A mixture of culture and perfection.”
