“I think there were some aspects from the spiritual sense that I related to almost my religion of what my faith and what I believed. There are always supreme beings that look at his people, takes care of his people, observes his people, they are with them at all times. That is what I seen in the show. So I think that related quite a bit.”
“I also think the instrument, the erhu, has a very deep connection to, almost to the soul. It is very moving, very riveting, it draws you, to a certain extent, to the emotions that the artist is also echoing to the instrument. I think that is the connection I saw too.”
