“It’s great. I’ve never seen such culture. I’ve never been exposed to it.”

“To see the chopstick dance [referring to ‘Lofty Spirits on the Grasslands,’ a traditional Mongolian dance of welcome] was really the highlight of the experience. It speaks for my culture too, because I’m actually from Central Asia, Uzbekistan, so we have some Mongolian roots. So it really brought it back to me. ... I felt really connected to [that dance].”

“[The traditional Chinese culture depicted in the show] brings very positive values—values of family, spirituality, being home.”

“It’s a great way to connect to your own spirituality, whatever it may be, and to reconnect with your roots and appreciate that you’re in Canada in such a multicultural society.”
