According to Zhang Wei-jun, the fifth-generation heir of Huai Sheng Tang, a TCM clinic, apples are highly nourishing from a TCM perspective. Apples strengthen the spleen, stimulate appetite, moisten the lungs, relieve coughs, generate fluids, and quench thirst. Their refreshing aroma also uplifts the mood.
