I’ve been studying the implications of hand strength and its relationship to increased longevity, and it’s been an interesting journey of discovery.
There’s an emerging field of study evaluating the potential for hand grip strength as a vital sign measurement alongside blood pressure, temperature, pulse rate, and respiration. Although I enjoy the continued evolution of the research, I also understand that great hand strength carries a benefit all its own. Strong hands help you hold onto things better, open containers more easily, and perform tasks with greater control and endurance.
