TAINAN, Taiwan—Deeply moved by the Shen Yun performance, former Tainan mayor, Shih Chih-ming, urged all Chinese people to see Shen Yun.

A must-see for the whole Chinese nation, Shen Yun creates the greatest treasure for the soul, he said

Mr. Shih watched Shen Yun’s finale performance in Taiwan at the Tainan Municipal Cultural Center, on Feb. 23. “Seeing the performance reminds me the importance of culture and spirituality,” he said.

“I think your soul is thirsty for longing and you’ve probably drifted in this industrial society for a very long time,“ he added. ”After seeing Shen Yun, I hope you can find back your warmest heart.”

He said that he has been in the political, industrial, and commercial circles for many years, having especially owned many miscellaneous businesses. After seeing the show, his mood suddenly became bright and lightened. He said he felt being instilled with art and culture just what he needed.

Shen Yun Vividly Interprets Folk Stories

Renowned attorney Su Ching-Shui and his wife enjoyed the fifth performance of Shen Yun in Tainan. The two were impressed with how Shen Yun interpreted classical Chinese stories through traditional dances. “It’s fantastic! A rare gem!” Mr. Su said.

Sitting close to the stage, Mr. Su’s wife was able to see the facial expressions of the artists. She said that they looked sincere and elegant. She also admired the delicate costumes: “The design is gorgeous!” she said.

Mr. Su was amazed by the strict selection of the artists on stage and how they all had similar body type and synchronized movements. “When the artists came on stage, you can’t tell them apart,” he added.

Mr. Su is a legal counselor of the Tainan City Council and used to be a presiding judge of the Tainan District Court. Both he and his wife added that “We will share our great experience with people we know.”

Like Daily Nutrient, Shen Yun Is Part of Life

Mr. Wei, owner of a construction company, brought his family to watch the performance on Feb 23, 2014. He described Shen Yun as a balanced nutrition that was natural and easy to absorb—like a part of life.

Mr. Wei brought eight of his family members to watch Shen Yun. He believed that Shen Yun was not only the perfect combination of Western and Eastern art but “a great connection of every part of life.”

From his observation, Mr. Wei said that there wasn’t a main character in Shen Yun’s performance. Every artist did their best in every regard and every one of them was the most important. “It’s like people need a set of balanced, natural, and easy-to-absorb nutrients and not just one special kind.” he added. “Shen Yun is a natural nutrient—a part of my life.”

Mr. Wei was most impressed by the Grand Descent of the Deities and Buddha’s Compassion Shines Forth. He recommended that people see the performance at least once.
