BALTIMORE—Mr. Wayne Williams, a former martial arts teacher, had come to see the very unique Shen Yun Performing Arts performance on January 18 at Baltimore’s Modell Performing Arts Center at The Lyric.

According to the Shen Yun website, “A performance by Shen Yun is a presentation of traditional Chinese culture as it once was: a study in grace, wisdom, and the virtues distilled from the five millennia of Chinese civilization.”

Mr. Williams shared that the Shen Yun was “fantastic and will tell people that they definitely should not miss this show.”

He was amazed by many aspects of the show, including “the choreography, the performers’ flexibility and their expressions; very, very impressive.”

Mr. Williams even will tell his pastor to come see the Shen Yun show, because of the spiritual message. He reasoned that he understood that people should look within themselves and said, “I wish everyone could be able to do that. The world would be a better place.”

The Shen Yun show reminded him of the spiritual aspect, something “that keeps you going … if you can’t have spirituality within yourself; you’re nothing but a hollow shell.”
