They were looking forward to a performance by the world’s top classical Chinese dancers. Shen Yun, according to the website, was formed in 2006 by artists in New York who shared a passion for reviving the lost culture of ancient China, said to be divinely inspired. The name “Shen Yun” translates into “the beauty of divine beings dancing.”
Deserves Highest Respect
Claudia was amazed seeing the performance for the first time, and said, “Shen Yun was absolutely wonderful, fascinating and spellbinding. This is a first for me to attend such a show.”
Watching the digital interactive backdrop, Claudia was astounded to see the flowing water, something that “is unbelievable–something I had never seen anywhere.”
Shen Yun uses a digital backdrop as a vehicle to bring together the scenes of Heaven, earth, the dynasties, and ethnic regions of ancient and contemporary China.
Then Claudia’s thoughts moved on to the performers, “What a surprise to see the effortless with which the dancers moved over the stage. The harmony among the dancers deserves the highest regard.”
According to the Shen Yun website, Shen Yun “performs classical Chinese dance, ethnic and folk dance, and story-based dance, with orchestral accompaniment and solo performers. For 5,000 years, divine culture flourished in the land of China. Through breathtaking music and dance, Shen Yun is reviving this glorious culture.”
Claudia expressed her thoughts before leaving, “My deepest thanks to the performers. We have the highest regard for what they have accomplished and shown to us today. We understand that they have truly achieved much, and we are deeply aware of the training they have to go through to get towards the point they are today.”
