Credit Union CEO Finds Shen Yun ‘Colorful, Beautiful and Wonderful’

“It’s very colorful and has a lot of culture. I spent two years in Japan, so I have some Asian experience being over in Japan, and so I wanted to see this, because I love the Asian culture.”

“I think [the culture depicted in the performance] is wonderful. I don’t know that much about China itself, because I’ve never been there, but I’d like to go someday.”

“The dancing is wonderful. It’s very nice. It’s very smooth and flowing, unlike some of the other dances where they’re a little more choppy and aggressive. It was very fluid.”

“The costumes were beautiful. The colors were very nice. The graphics … that’s very creative.”

“[The storyline] changes up. It has some ancient versus modern, and that mixes it up a little bit.”

“I like the monkey and the warlock scene; it was clever. It was just cute. It had a nice storyline.”

“I like the fact that it’s a live orchestra, that’s good. It’s better than a recording.”

“It’d be a good show to come and see, especially if they’ve never experienced Asian culture in any other way.”

“Whenever you have a diverse cultural experience in any community, then it’s good, because if you can’t go visit that place yourself, then it’s good to have it come to you.”
