CHANGHUA, Taiwan—Shen Yun Performing Arts once again graced the Changhua County Yuanlin Performance Hall on April 12, 2016. Mr. Wei Ming-ku, Magistrate of Changhua County, was among the packed audience of celebrities and VIPs. “Breathtaking! Magnificent,” he exclaimed after he saw Shen Yun for the first time.
“It’s the best performing arts company and the best dance performance I’ve ever seen,” he added.
Mr. Wei said that he had long heard of Shen Yun’s international repute. After attending the performance today, he said the New York-based company indeed deserves its reputation.
“Every dance piece has a specific theme and very powerful momentum. Every dancer’s movements are interpreting the theme [beautifully],” he said. “The dancers are seamlessly coordinated with the computer technology,” he added.
The technology Mr. Wei mentioned is Shen Yun’s innovative dynamic backdrop, “vividly animated settings, extending the stage and transporting the audience to a world where heaven and earth are one,” according to Shen Yun’s official Website.
“The overwhelming momentum was indeed very impressive,” Mr. Wei said. “All artists were fully immersed in their performance, and each dance drama featured a large cast of dancers.”
Fascinated by the unique performance aiming to revive the 5,000 years of the divinely inspired Chinese culture, he said, “In addition to the application of modern technology (digital animated backdrops), the unique costumes for each dance-drama fully displayed the beauty of ancient Chinese art.”
Referring to the fact that Shen Yun tours the world every year to promote traditional Chinese culture with an innovative, live, audio-visual performance, Wei Ming-ku said, “Shen Yun’s performance can purify people’s hearts, upgrade our artistic literacy and enrich our spiritual well being. It is of much benefit to human peace, social stability, and the elevation of the morality of our people. I am happy to see such high-class performing arts company visiting Changhua County.”
It was Mr. Wei’s first time seeing and the performers’ skills were so superb that he felt “like seeing it time and again.”
“If you miss it, you will regret it,” he said. “Those who have attended the performance should help promote it. And it would be my great pleasure to invite Shen Yun to perform in Changhua County again in the future,” the Magistrate concluded.
