“I liked the cultural aspect. I liked learning a little bit about the dance and what it means and the interpretation of the dancers. Their uniform, their costumes—brings a little bit of the story out. So that is something that is new to me.”

“I found it interesting that they have different parts of different times and they definitely had different cultures. So there is a lot of stories.”

“[The music] sets the mood … So I think that’s really part of the story. The sadness of the two lovers being separated, punishing them was all expressed in the music as much as in the dancing. I think the music connects me to the dancers.”
