Something important is happening. It’s something seriously beautiful, an event beyond our everyday lives. We don’t need to be told what it is in words, because Mozart is telling us in his “Et incarnatus est.” (Listen)

This performance is sung by soprano Arleen Auger with the Bavarian Radio Symphony Orchestra, conducted by Leonard Bernstein, and recorded live at the Abbey Church of Waldsassen, Germany, in April 1990.
