“When the curtains opened, I got teary-eyed. It was beautiful and throughout the performance I just wished to learn more history. It made me interested to learn more, every scene, every act made me want to go and research the story behind the story.”

“I’ve never seen that color in my life, and I actually went and looked back through the program and the colors that you see in the photographs. … The vibrancy was amazing. The colors were so vibrant and pure you can’t even tell through a photograph how bright and beautiful they are. I’m very glad to have seen it in person.”

“It was just so beautiful and I felt like I was seeing something important that I had been missing.”

“All I can say is that I was overwhelmed: all the color and the way the people were standing. I guess you could say it was spiritual.”

“There were a lot of gods and goddesses and people having fun, and when times were hard the gods would come and help people who were of pure heart.”

“That is how I try to live my life: that I try to be a good person and I hope for enlightenment, I hope for a world that returns to traditional values.”

“This is an amazing culture, and … it should be witnessed by everybody.”
