“I really enjoy the colors, the colors are gorgeous. And it’s very inspiring!”

“I think it is a very good embodiment of the Chinese culture ... the beautiful dresses and design of the clothing, but also the way they explain the dance and the culture itself, and the different aspects and culture from the folk dances to the other more intricate dances. So it was really interesting.”

“My mom and I both were brought to tears when it showed the young couple being torn apart because of their religious beliefs. It’s very touching.”

“[To the Shen Yun Performers] thank you, thank you for taking the time to show us the culture, and also to let us be more informed about the struggles that they’re having with keeping their beliefs.”

“I was thinking ... how grateful I am to live in a country where I could be free and be able to worship where I wish, and how I would wish that for all people in the world. I would love to work with someone to get that right for everybody, because it’s such a blessing for me.”

“I would definitely recommend the show, but also recommend maybe pushing more for human rights in China, and encouraging them to look into that part of the culture that’s being denied to them.”
