Photographer Alexey Kljatov developed a technique to capture the unique beauty of snowflakes.
On the open balcony at his house, he captures snowflakes on a glass surface; he illuminates them with an LED flashlight shone through the glass; he uses dark, woolen fabrics as a background. His method varies slightly, sometimes using natural light, for example.
No two snowflakes are alike, and Kljatov’s photographs allow us to appreciate the usually fleeting and hard-to-see natural wonder.
